Second only to the Grand Canyon in the company it keeps: 160 km long, half a kilometre deep, best at Hobas Viewpoint at golden hour. Hike the famous 5-day trail (May–September, permit-required) or simply stand at the rim and let the scale do the talking — Ai-Ais hot springs wait at the far end.
